Lord Jesus Christ,
you taught us to love our neighbour,
and to care for those in need
as if we were caring for you.
In this time of anxiety, give us strength
to comfort the fearful, to tend the sick,
and to assure the isolated
of our love,
and your love, for your name’s sake.
There are additional services for festivals such as Lent, Easter, Christmas, Patronal Festivals, Remembrance Sunday. Please check the Parish Life page for current information on upcoming additional services and special events.
We hold an annual open air service on The Trundle hill near Goodwood, on St Roche’s Day 16th August. This is an ecumenical service of healing (St Roche is the patron saint of healing, and the Trundle is also known as St Roche’s Hill).
Two church fetes are held every summer, in East Dean and in Singleton. These traditional village fetes raise much needed funds for the Valley Parish. Sadly these have not taken place due to Covid restrictions, but we hope to hold them again next year. Watch this space!
